Antony Price has been appointed by bmi as the director marketing and customer with immediate effect.
He will be reporting to airline chief commercial officer Jochen Schnadt based at the airline’s East Midlands hub.
He will drive strategic efforts to further enhance bmi’s brand awareness across the carrier’s pan-European network and unlock new customer markets.
He will further develop the product proposition in line with bmi’s philosophy to deliver a seamless and convenient product.
Price has over 20 years’ aviation experience and has held senior leadership positions with Air New Zealand and British Airways. He was recently the general manager sales for the former, based in Auckland.
He also has a strong track record of leading large and successful commercial and digital teams in the UK, USA and New Zealand.
bmi has enjoyed significant growth over the past year it has enhanced its network and boosted customer numbers.
It operates a 20-strong all-jet fleet linking UK hubs including Bristol and Aberdeen with European commercial and cultural centres.
Schnadt said that this year they want to amplify their investment in digital research and marketing to ensure they deliver an even more seamless customer experience.
He further mentioned that Antony will drive all customer-facing functions within bmi covering marketing, distribution and customer engagement and care apart from taking the lead with mobile and e-commerce.
