Lt. Gen. Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh visited a few important places of tourist attraction in and around Itanagar on Saturday.

The Governor visited the Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum in the capital. He appreciated the abundant exhibition of traditional items encompassing the art, culture and living of different tribes in Arunachal Pradesh. He was enthralled with the displays and presentations of the museum, terming them as the ‘pride of the state’.

The Governor, who visited the place to obtain first-hand acquaintance of the state after taking over office on February 16, visited each unit of the museum and deeply perceived all the items that were displayed.

Appreciating the safeguarding department for preserving and caring for the museum in such a good manner, Mr. Parnaik gave few suggestions, comprising the digitization of the elements of the museum, broadening of the exhibits for better analysis, and making stamps so that Arunachal is boosted at all levels.

During the say, the Governor also went to Ganga Lake, Ita Fort Southern Gate, the Zoological Park and paid respect at Sidhartha Vihar Gompa and Theraveda Gompa. He praised the people of the state for keeping up their culture and ethnicities. Lauding the forest representatives for taking appropriate attention of the zoo, the Governor recommended starting a transport system to carry the visitors within the zoo.
