At the launch in Grand Bahama, he reported a good number of audience organized at the PLP Headquarters in Freeport recently.
Mr. Cooper is the Tourism, Investment, and Aviation Minister as well. He stated that there is a major growth in tourism on Grand Bahama.
He said that they had a full house at PLP Headquarters who were discussing about entrepreneurship. They are taking this entrepreneurship symposium all around Bahamas, however, they came to GB first. Here, there are some important opportunities.
He also mentioned that from the airport, lots of opportunities will be coming along with the Grand Lucayan Resort when it’s sold.
With the airport, they are doing some interesting things and they are actively working to sell the Grand Lucayan Resort off, and they are quite optimistic about this. The realism of where they are is there is a major opportunity, and they want Grand Bahamians to get absolutely organized for the opportunities in the medium and near terms.
Mr Cooper said that in terms of the airport, there are possible opportunities for construction.
Ian Ferguson from the Tourism Development Corporation talked about business ideas and the ways to attract more tourists off the ship.
