The Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) recently announced to supply serviced apartment properties around the U.K. to accommodate NHS staff and other vital workers. The decision comes as a response to the call for help to support the individuals working tirelessly to fight the coronavirus disease.
The Association was called on to step in and contribute to the situational crisis earlier this week. The request was made as healthcare workers on duty struggled to find accommodation near to hospitals. The serviced apartment is capable to help in the present situation. The NHS was already in talks with the Association regarding the matter for a while.
James Foice, Chief Executive Officer, ASAP said in a recent press statement that in light of the situation turning graver this week ASAP has experienced an overwhelming number of communications. He mentioned that it has been contacted by operators offering accommodation for keyworkers as well as by keyworkers looking for accommodation. He expressed that ASAP is delighted to form a channel between those seeking apartments and aparthotel and the members who are ready to provide help.
He shared that the Association’s directory of accredited Member operators and agents displays the range of accommodation offered by our accredited Members across the country. In addition, a special portal alongside the directory enables users to register their needs. This allows ASAP to can link them to Members who have current availability.
He further added that nothing is more important to ASAP Members than the welfare and safety of their guests. That is always their priority especially in a time of crisis. He shared that ASAP is extremely proud to represent the serviced apartment sector. He also mentioned that the organisations feel good to provide accommodation to NHS or other key workers as well as anyone scattered across the country.
ASAP Members form a fantastic community of hospitality professionals. Foice has also informed that they are set up, poised and ready to accept the present challenge. The Association was quick to send out a call-to-arms to its Membership to support a Keyworker Accommodation Initiative and received a surge of support.
