Astro tourism – a new addition to Jaipur

Besides royalty and colorful extravaganza, if you have a passion for stargazing, the Pink City can be your go to destination! The art and culture department has introduced this experience under ‘Night Sky Tourism.’


The art & culture minister B D Kalla launched this project at the secretariat lawn and said that the ‘Night Sky Tourism’ will provide a new impetus to night tourism in the state. “It will be a new experience for tourists and add more depth to the state as a tourist destination,” said Kalla.


The art and culture department has activated the telescope which was in the possession of the science department. Mugdha Sinha, Secretary, art and culture and department of science and technology said that the state government has taken this initiative for beginning night tourism after the lockdown. Now visitors from Jaipur and elsewhere can take this opportunity to gaze at the night sky, stars, planets, moon among others.
