At ITB, RAKTDA declares phase two of the longest zipline of the world

ITB, RAKTDARas Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority or better known as RAKTDA declared that in reaction to the demand of the visitors for the longest zipline of the world, in the third quarter of 2018, they will release phase two to visitors. It will have two new cables and will add to the capacity of the Jebel Jais Flight to 400 people every day, almost 200,000 annually.

 
At present, the Tourism Authority is endorsing its offer to the global travel market at ITB in Berlin. Also, declared that night time ziplining will happen this summer, offering visitors the chance to take pleasure in varied summer experiences where Jebel Jais is 10 degrees cooler than sea level.

 
Lately, the longest zipline is the most newly launched tourism product targeted in luring the adventure tourists to the northern most Emirate of the UAE. With its miscellaneous landscape showcasing the Hajar Mountains and Jebel Jais, the highest peak of UAE, the zipline goes after other extremely successful adventure tourism launches like the Jebel Jais Via Ferrata (Iron Path), hiking and climbing routes.

 
In 2017, the development and expansion of adventure tourism has contributed to the rise in visitors to Ras Al Khaimah, up to 19% with widespread growth from international markets. Germany, Russia, United Kingdom and India were the largest source markets for Ras Al Khaimah in 2017 with growing markets like Poland and Czech Republic also witnessing important growth.

 
RAKTDA plans to additionally fortify its strategic partnerships and agreements at ITB with the help of global tourism market to support its objective of a million visitors by the end of 2018 and 2.9 million by the end of 2025.
