At Malaysia Travel Mart, 400 tourism players assemble from India

In the Malaysia Travel Mart 2022, more than 400 buyers from India took part in it. The event was held together with the Travel Agents Federation of India Convention 2022. It was organized by Tourism Malaysia.

Datuk Seri Dr Anil Jeet Singh Sandhu, Tourism Malaysia deputy chairman, said that the effort, which was hosted in a Business-to-Business set-up, was a way for the industry players of the country to meet with their Indian counterparts with a mission to network and fortify their tourism relations.

The minister said that it is also an approach to advertise their recent tourism products and packages. From Malaysia, more than100 sellers took part in this program.

He said that they all expect that these efforts will help boost the arrival of Indian tourists and benefit the tourism industries of both the countries and the economy of them.

He delivered this speech yesterday while officiating the Malaysia Travel Mart at the Borneo Convention Centre in Kuching.

He srared that TAFI, with a membership of more than 1,400 travel agents engaging 70% outbound travel, was India’s one of the premier travel trade associations.

Themed “Build Back Better”, the four-day event which comes to an end today, is the third TAFI convention to be arranged in Malaysia.

Anil also mentioned that he hoped the arrival number of Indians would get doubled in 2022.

India at present positions number four for the number of travellers to Malaysia.
