At SATTE 2022, Malaysia tries to attract India tourists

At South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange 2022, Tourism Malaysia takes part in its 18th edition. It’s the largest tourism fair in India and was arranged in Delhi NCR. From 18th to 20th May 2022, this three-day event took place and is an initiation to attract Indian travellers back after the reopening of Malaysian borders on 1st April 2022.


Tourism Malaysia is all set to increase awareness about Malaysia as the perfect hotspot and inspire confidence among Indians and make them visit this Southeast Asian country with complete enthusiasm. The event will be a huge assemblage of over 35,000 visitors. This will raise the number of tourists from India to Malaysia considerably and give confidence to the tour operators and members of the tourism sector.


The Malaysian delegation team was led by Dato’ Sri Dr. Anil Jeet Singh Sandhu, Deputy Chairman of Tourism Malaysia, along with around 15 tour agents, three product owners, three hotel operators, three operators of the airline, and one state tourism board along with many Tourism Malaysia officials.


Dr. Anil Jeet Singh Sandhu said that he is quite thrilled to declare that since the reopening of the borders of Malaysia, India scored as the top 5 tourist source markets of the country. One can unravel a new Malaysia all in all. One of the much awaited outdoor theme parks has been opened finally, the Genting SkyWorld, while Penang has been listed as the Best Travel Destinations in 2022, CNN.
