Manor House Mansion was built in 1752 by the first Earl Carrick and Juliet Boyle. It was located on a hill on both sides of the river and was connected to the eight arch-stone bridge, which has survived to this day. For 150 years the descendants of the count lived on the estate, until in the XX century the estate was sold and subsequently turned into a suburban resort, which has been enjoyed by many generations of guests since then.
The original Manor House mansion has undergone renovation and reopened its doors, presenting 32 stylish rooms and the refined Lady Helen restaurant. With stunning views of green meadows, LadyHelen boasts a Michelin star and three AA Rosette awards for a menu compiled by chef John Kelly, who uses only the finest seasonal ingredients, some of which are grown on the estate. An aperitif and diges tif are served at Major’sBar, where guests can enjoy the comfort of the fireplace and try their own Moongate Gin gin.
A few minutes walk from Manor House there is a renovated second hotel building – Hunters Yard Hotel with 93 rooms, the interior of which is decorated in a modern style, giving tribute to the old buildings of the horse yard. Refined spaces for weddings and celebrations, as well as conference rooms, The Hound Restaurant, which has been awarded MichelinPlate and two AARosette awards, can offer you. He presents guests a menu using local produce selected by chef Ken Harker. Next to TheHound is the modern TheSaddleBar, which offers a variety of cocktails.
In 2020, a golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus will be the venue for the fourth time in the world famous Irish Open Tournament. Together with the recently renovated golf club, this golf course meets the highest quality standards and has hosted legendary players on its territory for many years. In addition to golf, Mount Juliet Estate also breeds horses. Here is also located one of the most advanced equestrian centers in Ireland with two all-weather arenas, a full set of springboards for competitions according to FEI standards, equestrian clinics with qualified BHS specialists and tracks spread over an area of 50,000 square meters.
