B.C. tourism operators say lots of opportunities are in the anvil

Due to COVID-19 and wildfires, even though some of the most popular destinations of the province are not available at this moment, the hard-hit tourism operators of B.C. says that there are still opportunities for people to make the most of the last few weeks of summer.

Travel to the southern Interior and central Okanagan is not permitted. As a result, many are getting prompted to rush to Vancouver Island instead.

Tofino, which we know as a popular spot all through the year is currently having a busy summer.

Samantha Hackett, Chair of Tourism Tofino, has explained that the destination is gradually witnessing numbers close to pre-pandemic levels.

However, still there is hope for procrastinators or people who’ve had their plans called off due to travel warnings. The website has a section “current vacancies” that shows same-day availability.
