The Covid-19 Pandemic is having an immense effect on tourism which will
eventually redesign the future landscape of the industry. With an intent to
address this issue, Centre for hospitality and Tourism, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri arranged an international webinar on ‘Preparing for the future of Tourism Post covid-19. The webinar was mainly targeted at talking about the effect, survival and strategies to evaluate the situation and renewal of the industry.
Prof. Javed Musarrat, Vice Chancellor, BGSB university highly praised the
initiations of the centre for arranging the webinar on such a crucial theme. Prof. Musarrat highlighted that COVID-19 global outbreak has temporarily stopped the world as we knew and engulfed almost all sectors. Tourism industry has been one of the worst impacted heavily industries due to Covid-19, he explained. Prof. Musarrat highlighted that The University is methodically reacting to the unprecedented circumstances due to the virus outbreak.
Prof. Iqbal Parwez, Dean Academic Affairs, BGSBU addressed the guests.
While speaking on the occasion Prof. Iqbal explained that the University is efficiently reaching out to all its stakeholders mainly students and scholars with the help of online teaching and learning to meet their academic pursuits within the stipulated time frame.
