In a meeting with Bandar bin Fahad Al-Fhaid, the President of the Arab Tourism Organization, the Tourism Minister of Bahrain, Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Sairafi, reiterated the commitment of the Kingdom to improve the tourism sector in the Arab region, state news agency reported.
On the agenda of Bahrain, tourism holds a prestigious position, Al-Sairafi emphasized the significance of making the use of the recent global developments to draw Arab tourists as well as international travelers to the region.
She emphasized the initiations the Kingdom had made to showcase intra-Arab tourism and add to the contribution of the sector to the social, economic and cultural development of the countries in the Kingdom.
Both officials assessed the techniques to fortify the collaboration in Arab tourism integration, training Arab nationals in tourism, tourism marketing, and drawing more investment in tourism to the Arab region, to go with the transformation in digital world in the tourism industry, and marketing tourist sites in the Arab world.
Al-Fhaid expressed gratitude to the support of the minister for Bahrain for the work of the Arab Tourism Organization and the initiations dedicated to move the tourism sector ahead in the Arab world.
He mentioned about the enthusiasm of the organization to kick-start its role to advance tourism in the region.
