Beautiful places, friendly faces, and great surf among the attractions before COVID-19, that lured a million Australians to Bali every year.
Indonesia’s tourism minister said that his personal mission now is to tempt tourists back to his country.
Mr. Uno said that Indonesia “misses” Aussies.
“We want you guys to be back,”Uno said.
“We are seeing demand, very healthy demand from Australia in particular. Bali is now open,” he added.
Bali is the fourth most popular international destination for Easter, with Los Angeles, Singapore and Fiji bagging the top three spots.
However, it’s going to take some time for the island to recuperate from the pandemic woes.
To travel to Bali, Aussies must be vaccinated with at least two doses of the vaccine. They also need a PCR test before departure, but there’s no requirement for quarantine.
