Barrhead confirms acquisition

The completion of acquisition agreement with the US-based Travel Leaders Group was confirmed by Barrhead Travel and the deal was announced on February 1.

It was finalised following full exchange of contracts between both parties and now the Glasgow-headquartered Barrhead  sits as part of Travel Leaders Group’s UK portfolio of brands which also features Colletts Travel, Protravel International UK and Tzell UK, following the acquisition for an undisclosed sum.

Currently Barrhead founder and chairman Bill Munro and chief executive Sharon Munro will continue in their current roles with the business anticipating no major changes in operations among its staff.

Sharon Munro was pleased to announce the completion of this transaction and was looking forward to being part of a growing family of brands at Travel Leaders Group.
