Travelling with family is always a welcome respite which gives you an opportunity to strengthen your family bond like nothing else.

Going on vacations contributes to your memory bank generously through shared experiences with each and every member of your family.

It is not unlikely for the smallest member of your family not to take interest in quaffing flagons or the eldest member to seek pleasure in stargazing.

So, while planning a vacation for your full family, you must consider adding places that will draw everyone’s interest right from the hyperactive kid, the food millennial to the contemplative grandparents.

South Dakota– There is a lot more to explore in South Dakota on a multi-gen family trip than you may possibly think of. Visit the Mount Rushmore National Memorial which stands as the shrine of America’s democracy.

It features the 60-foot faces of four great American presidents who represent the country’s birth, growth, development and preservation.

A trip to the Badlands National Park will give you an insight into the history of the continent which was under the sea but now looks like a setting from a science fiction movie.

On a guided tour, visit the Wind Cave National Park which sprawls over 150 miles. You can also marvel at the third-largest cave system of the world at the Jewel Cave National Monument.

Florida– The world-famous Disney World in Florida has something to amuse everyone in a family. For spicing up your vacation, add a Disney Cruise to your itinerary.

For those with mobility issues, Disney World provides free wheelchairs and allows scooter rentals for touring around the place. Visit the Glazer Children’s Museum which is ready to amuse your younger kids with their interactive sessions.

Whether you have infants or an octogenarian in your family, rent a waterfront condo for your family and enjoy the fun of staying together.

For adventurous teenagers, rent a kayak and navigate your way through the turquoise waters of the Emerald Coast. You may spot dolphins, manatees, sea turtles and other sea animals on your expedition.

Arizona– A trip to Phoenix is a favourite of all ages with ample opportunities for fun, relaxation, hiking and other activities.

The picturesque valley remains bathed in sunshine for about 299 days in a year which has earned it the title The Valley of the Sun.

During the daytime, visit the Phoenix Zoo and the nearby Botanical Garden and spend some time close to nature and wildlife. For some hands-on fun, head to the Arizona Space Centre letting the elderly members relax at the hotel’s pool or spa.

The Greater Phoenix comprises of major cities like Tempe, Scottsdale and Mesa and a number of smaller cities that are worth a visit.

Colorado– From Denver to the Western Slope and everything amid, Colorado is a site for a multigenerational family trip. Colorado has four national parks that offer the perfect hideout for each one of your family.

The Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park which was declared a national monument in 1933 introduces you to some of the oldest rocks, craggiest spires and steepest cliffs of North America.

Another prominent site to visit with family is the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo which is famed as the highest altitude zoo in the US. For the teen grandkids, the Cave of the Winds Mountain Peak is well worth a visit.

At the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, you can get to see America’s tallest dunes that stand as tall as 750 feet.

Hawaii– A 20-minutes’ walk from Honolulu Airport, Waikiki stands out of all the places as a multigenerational place to visit in the US.

You can go for a leisurely walk with the senior-most member of your family from Diamond Head to the Ala Moana Shopping Centre.

Waikiki is home to great eateries, shopping outlets and a wide range of nightlife venues.

Being located on the seashore, the place offers a plethora of adventure and recreational activities for all ages.

Surf lessons, free hula shows, Hawaiian luaus, live Hawaiian music and the Waikiki Aquarium are some of the attractions that you can avail yourself of on foot.

When it comes to choosing a travel destination in the US, there is no dearth of places to go for a multi-gen vacation. What matters is choosing a place that has something for everyone in your family!
