Tourism industry with constant promotions and responsive policies of the state government has recent seen major growth and development in investments and footfalls in tourists. It is high time the private sector and government drew synergies to protect the environment, authorize local communities with high-quality supremacy for sustainability.
Mr. Apurv Kumar, President of Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan, said that sustainable tourism is increasingly getting crucial as more and more people worldwide are seeking to travel around the popular destinations globally.
Kumar said that every year, with a rising number of tourists coming to these places, there is a danger of natural resources getting exhausted and local communities getting affected depressingly. For future, protecting the natural loveliness and cultural tradition of tourist destinations is essential.
For that all tourism stakeholders should work together to encourage sustainable practices, said Kumar.
As for the acceptance of ESG or environment, social engagement, and governance, Kumar said the means can be set up on an incentive model and the plan can be initiated with a pilot in an area like Kukas. In the recent past, it has become a hub of hotels.
