Tourists from all around India and abroad have already heard of the marvelous ‘glass walkways’ in the United States of America (USA) or China. But now, one can get to see such spectacles much closer to home.

Bihar is on its way to witness this modern technological marvel. From sometime next year, tourists will be able to take a nature safari or a zoo safari at the Rajgir Wildlife Sanctuary, with a ‘glass bridge’ being constructed over the expansive forests for letting tourists witness startling wildlife and other beautiful sights.
On Saturday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inspected the ‘nature safari’ work at the tourist hotspot Rajgir and asked officials to complete the ‘glass floor bridge’ (sky walk) by March next year.
Kumar also inspected zip line, zip bike and main camp area of the nature safari during his visit.
The chief minister directed officials to get assistance of protective experts for better maintenance of the venue.
The CM was accompanied by Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar, CM’s Principal Secretary Chanchal Kumar, OSD in his office Gopal Singh, Patna Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Nalanda DM and SP besides other officials.
Kumar also inspected zoo safari, and enquired from the officials about the animal cage, kitchen and room constructed to house the sick animals. He also had a look over the vehicle meant to undertake zoo safari.
Kumar said, “We have talked about starting zoo safari along with the nature safari at Rajgir. But the officials informed that nature safari work cannot be undertaken along with the zoo safari, rather it can only be carried out in the forest area”.
The Bihar state government has started the work on the project to supply clean drinking water from river Ganga to everyone in Rajgir.
