Sabah is keen on work together with Egypt and other places in the Middle East in terms of bilateral tourism promotion, explained Datuk Christina Liew, Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister.
She stated that there are good hopes in terms of creating such tourism relations.
She said that once they reach a contract on the basic factors for mutual tourism promotion, they can set up a structure for bilateral cooperation related to tourism for business and leisure.
She cited an instance that they can tap into the market in Egypt that’s related to honeymoon, among other Middle East countries. The other members were Ibrahim El Aref, Egypt Promotion, Nancy Zahran from Jordan, and Alicia Gomes from Avasi Borneo Tours and Travels – GTS’ local partner.
From tomorrow till May 21st, the Sabah MATTA Fair will be hosted at the Sabah International Convention Centre.
