BKK Social Club at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River Named 90th Best Bar in the World After Merely 42 Nights of Operation

Evoking the golden age of glamour, BKK Social Club at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River reopens its doors with a new accolade, 90th Best Bar in the World by the famed The World’s 50 Best Bars 2021 list. Reopening following a tumultuous first year due to COVID-19 restrictions, the team is overjoyed to be recognised on the global stage.

BKK Social Club celebrates the legendary allure of Buenos Aires and the energy of today’s Bangkok. Opened in December 2020, the bar operated for merely 42 nights before reopening on December 1, 2021 and subsequently receiving the award – an early acknowledgement of the incredible concept, execution and team.

At the helm, Beverage Manager Philip Bischoff celebrated the accomplishment with his team. “We are incredibly humbled to be recognised on the global stage so shortly after opening, and with so many restrictions in place due to the global pandemic,” says Bischoff. “It has been an incredibly difficult few years for our industry, and as we finally reopen our bar doors and bars around the world slowly return to normalcy, I cannot wait to welcome the world to BKK Social Club. Awards and celebrations such as The World’s 50 Best Bars bring this marvellous industry together, and that support is what will help all of us recover together.”

Bischoff is no stranger to the global stage, having been named the #1 in Thailand and #21 most innovative bartender in the world by Drinks International and having made appearances on The World’s 50 Best Bars and Asia’s 50 Best Bars lists.

Bischoff crafted a menu of bespoke cocktails that reflect the typical drinking culture of South America.​ “While separated by half a world, the cultures of Buenos Aires and Bangkok have a true passion for life, good times and great drinks,” says Bischoff. “The menu emphasises this and brings guests on a journey of the people, places and parties during the yesteryear of Buenos Aires. Rounding out the beverage menu, our signature bottled cocktails come in three sizes, alongside an expansive list of cigars and Champagnes, perfect to get the night started.”

Designed by AvroKo, and a recent recipient of the Gold Key hospitality design award for Best Nightclub/Lounge, the glamorous cocktail bar is reminiscent of Argentine grand architecture, and is framed by two semi-outdoor courtyards. One side is home to Bangkok’s cigar aficionados, while the other offers the perfect space for social gatherings to enjoy bespoke bottled cocktails and Champagnes.

BKK Social Club is currently open Wednesday – Sunday, 5:00 to 11:00 pm at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River.
