As Poslovni Dnevnik or Marija Crnjak says that in Zelena punta tourist resort in Kukljica, around fifty apartments on the island of Ugljan will be revamped entirely and made ready for the upcoming tourist season.
It’s only a small part of the amazing investment project of 40 million euros of Slovak investor Adriatic Tourist Resorts.
At present, Zelena punta is a hectic construction site. So far, five million euros have been invested into it.
Still, a good part of the project is awaiting changes to the urban development plan, as per the director of Adriatic Tourist Resorts and Premium Star Hotels, Dino Manestar, owned by Prime Tourist Resorts from Bratislava.
ATR which is already quite popular is owned by JS Capital Management from Bratislava.
It took over Zelena punta, along with Hotel Trakoscan after the bankruptcy of Coning for about 26.5 million kuna.
Even though it was open to visitors every season from Coning’s bankruptcy till the capture, the resort has been abandoned, with unused housing capacities, deserted sports area and ramshackle road and rail network, and it extends over an entire peninsula estranged from the old resort, into a thick jungle of pine.
The idea of the investor is to protect the natural heritage to a huge extent and make a four-star mixed-use resort.
