The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has declared that it is supporting three Bahrainis to play an important part in the first Global Youth Tourism Summit (GYTS).
This meeting is being held by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), and is slated to take place in Sorrento, Italy from the 27th of this month till July 3. The gathering would bring together youth from all over the world, for discussing the visions and expectations for the tourism segment.
The BTEA said that the contenders, Sara Janahi, Zainab Ibrahim and Saud Sherida were selected to stand for the Kingdom after a long and meticulous selection procedure that took a number of factors for the selection process, taking into consideration the actions and projects connected with the national tourism segment.
Dr. Nasser Qaedi is the CEO of BTEA. He expressed his self-belief regarding the potential of these young Bahrainis for representing Bahrain in this global meeting, as well as interacting with leaders associated with the tourism industry around the world and learning more about the accountability that tourism plays in the economic growth of the nation.
Dr. Qaedi confirmed that BTEA will carry on giving more power to the young folks, pay attention to what they say and put them together into various programmes for improving the tourism sector of Bahrain and bringing it into global attention.
