Cheryl joins the Butlin’s Conference & Events team with more than 30 years’ experience, most recently with the Principal Hotel Company where she was Director of Conference Office Development. Before joining the Principal Hotel Company, Cheryl worked at QMH for more than seven years, joining as National Business Development Manager before being promoted to National Conference Sales Manager and – after the acquisition by Valor Europe – Interim Head of Sales.
Cheryl worked closely with an impressive portfolio of brands including IHG, Hilton, Marriott and Best Western, and in doing so, established herself as a respected M&E and Agency specialist. During her tenure at Valor, the national team won IHG’s prestigious Sales Team of the Year. Cheryl has also worked for Telford International Centre, De Vere and IHG.
Cheryl will have overall responsibility for Butlin’s Conference & Events’ Sales and Marketing and will be tasked with developing the Butlin’s Conference & Events offering to the MICE market. Her role will be pivotal in further positioning Butlin’s as a trusted conference and events venue that offers delegates an exciting and unusual alternative to traditional event spaces within the UK market.
