An important driver of the economy, the tourism segment of Canada produced over $100 billion in
yearly incomes prior to being affected by the pandemic.

This is the reason why the Canada government initiated the Tourism Relief Fund (TRF). It is a $500M
panCanadian enterprise to assist trades and establishments in this segment to get over the influences of the pandemic and station themselves for the upcoming days. The inventiveness, managed by CED in Quebec, concluded on March 31 this year.

MarieClaude Bibeau, the Honourable Member of Parliament for Compton-Stanstead and the Agriculture
and AgriFood Minister is declaring in the best interests of the Minister of Tourism and the Minister accountable for CED, Honourable Soraya Martinez Ferrada, a sum of $2,034,730 as monetary aids for nine Cantonsdel’Est tourism establishments that have obtained backing from CED under the TRF.
