The Canary Islands will present its tourism offering and provide a business space for its tourism industry at FITUR, the International Tourism Trade Fair, which is holding its “Tourism Recovery Special” edition from 19th to 23rd May at Feria de Madrid. As Canary Islands Tourism explains, “although the pandemic has affected the situation now, we’ve decided to have a stronger presence at FITUR with a stand to host different events every day.”
As at previous editions, the Canary Islands will be present with a 1427 m2 stand designed to stand out for its brightness, with eye-catching graphic panels and audio-visual displays, projecting visual content on latest-generation screens to create an immersive effect and convey the destination’s unique character. “This will be combined with the changing colours in the underfloor lighting to evoke the colours of the archipelago’s ocean, its vegetation and its volcanic origins.”
Both the way the spaces are organised, and the display equipment will be adapted to the current health situation to ensure social distancing and eliminate direct contact as far as possible. “For this reason, as well as measures implemented by the Fair’s organiser itself, such as digital registration, temperature checks and air renewal, the Canary Islands stand will have unenclosed meeting spaces for business development activities and designated visitor routes”.
Each island level will have an information area. The traditional counters have been replaced with state-of-the-art technology devices showing each island’s wide range of resources and allowing visitors to download the information to their own devices.
