Canmore Folk Festival cancelled due to COVID-19

The 2020 Canmore Folk Festival has officially been cancelled. The event was scheduled to run Aug 1 to 3 in the community.

The organisers said they are heartbroken and had held out hope they would be able to join together on the August long weekend, but have reached the conclusion that the best way to preserve a healthy community and protect the safety of their audience and small town is to cancel.

The festival is expected to return July 31 to August 2, 2021. The organisers say full refunds will be offered to that who already purchased tickets but is encouraging some to donate the price of the tickets back to the festival to help weather the fallout of the cancellation.
