Carnival Cruise Line’s newest acquisition, Carnival Jubilee, successfully completed rigorous sea testing on November 14, a key step toward its much-anticipated debut. On December 23, the ship will make its debut in Galveston, Texas, marking a watershed moment for Carnival fans.
During the sea trials, Carnival Jubilee’s technical, mechanical, and navigational systems were rigorously tested by a crew of officers, technicians, and engineers. “Our all-new Carnival Jubilee performed extremely well through each test we put her through this past week,” said Captain Andrea Catalani of the ship’s performance. We’ll be cruising soon, and our crew is ready to welcome our Galveston guests aboard this lovely new ship.”
Carnival Jubilee, the first Carnival ship built in Germany, honors its home port of Galveston by displaying a Texas star on its bow. Shipbuilder Meyer Werft in Papenburg is scheduled to deliver the vessel to Carnival on December 4. With its sea-themed areas, such as the alluring Ph.D. Bar and Dr. Inks, and its inventive design features that take guests from a pier-like “boardwalk” to an exciting ocean-floor promenade, the ship promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience.
Being the third cruise ship in the fleet to be propelled by liquefied natural gas, Carnival Jubilee stands out thanks to its state-of-the-art amenities, which include the top-deck rollercoaster BOLT: The Ultimate Seacoaster. Additionally, Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse and Shaquille O’Neal’s Big Chicken restaurant offer delectable food to patrons.
Year-round voyages to popular Caribbean locations, such as Mahogany Bay (Roatan) and Mexico’s Cozumel and Costa Maya, will be undertaken by the ship. On board Carnival Jubilee, fans can expect a flawless fusion of cutting-edge technology, world-class cuisine, and life-changing experiences.
