A variety of classes centred on teaching those to live healthier, reduced-stressed lives will be held at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler on June 8, 2019 to celebrate Global Wellness Day. Created on the mantra that “one day can change your whole life,” guests are invited to participate in this one day schedule of fitness, beauty and mindfulness classes aimed at changing the way they connect with health and wellness into the future.
Home-made Body Scrub Class
Learn to craft an organic scrub from the finest essential oils and ingredients including mint and fresh citrus; grapefruit, lemon and oranges.
Allow breathing to awaken. Each guest’s sensations will guide them to a deeper or more diluted practice. All participation will be celebrated.
Incorporates resistance training with flexibility using body weight and stability. The class focuses on spinal range of motion and core stability using bolsters, hand weights and magic circles to achieve a body’s ideal. No previous experience required and all levels are welcome.
Conscious Connected Breathing
Learn the what, why and how of CCB with a demonstration of the mechanics of breath. Individuals begin by setting the intention for the session. This modality is done lying down, with music, while completely relaxed (having a blanket or extra layer of clothing handy is recommended). Following is time for integration, a few easy yoga poses, and self-massage.
A Latin-inspired fitness class that uses music and basic choreographed steps for a workout that feels like a dance party. While much of the music is Latin inspired, a class may also include music from all other dance genre such as pop, hip hop and belly dance, to name a few.
Movement & Mediation
This class will begin with a quiet meditation, drawing attention inward and focusing on the breath. It will include gentle movement and finish with a guided systematic relaxation.
