Centara Hotels and Resorts expects expansion in some of the world’s most dynamic destination. It plans to open eight new properties in four countries and enhancing the leadership position in Thailand.
The group’s worldwide inventory will increase by almost 2,000 rooms and suites which is in line with their strategic plan to make Centara to position Centara as a top 100 global operator within five years.
At the end of 2020, Centara’s highly anticipated first resort of its new luxury brand will be unveiled after the refurbishment and re- positioning of Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui.
In 2019 the popular beach front retreat was closed temporarily and facilitate an extensive upgrade.
In the late 2020 its grand reopening will mark the launch of Centara’s Sixth hotel brand.
In 2020 Centara by Cantara Cha Am Beach Resort Hua Hin is expected to open which will be located on pristine Cha-Am Beach and is a 190-room and suite hotel surrounded by attractions like theme park, golf course, retail outlets and a Royal palace.
COSI, Centara’s affordable lifestyle brand will drive the Centara’s domestic growth in Thailand.
The cutting edge concept will enter after the addition of hotels in Pattaya and Koh Samui will enter another popular beach resort destination in quarter four by launching the COSI Karbi Ao Nang Beach.
This year the major focus will be Southeast Asia and Centara KMA Resort Inle Lake will be launched in Myanmar in Q2 and Centara Plumeria Resort Pakse in Q4 in Laos.
Centara will enter new destinations like Luang Prabang , the UNESCO World Heritage-listed former capital of Laos and the country’s capital Vientiane.
The B Premiere Hotel will be introduced in Q2 and in Q4 the group will enter the UAE with the Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai.
