Central Indian state Chhattisgarh launches “Tourism of Wheels” campaign The Central Indian state, Chhattisgarh has launched ‘Tourism of Wheels’ campaign in order to promote bicycle tourism in the state.

 

This tourism campaign is initiated by Chhattisgarh Tourism Board not only for the promotion of various tourism destinations in Chhattisgarh and the capital city Raipur, but also the possibilities of responsible and sustainable tourism.

 

 

The campaign named ‘Tour de Raipur’ was held where there are about 109 participants took part and toured in various tourism attractions of Raipur.

 

 

The bicycle campaign was initiated at the Marine Drive in the capital by Secretary Tourism and Culture, Niharika Barik Singh, Secretary Health, Anil Kumar Sahu, Managing Director CTB, MT Nandi, and General Manager CTB, Sanjay Singh.

 

 

The participants of various age groups actively participated in the programme. The bicycle riders toured Jungle Safari, Purkhauti Muktangan and other tourist attraction at Naya Raipur before it culminated at Johar Chattisgarh Hotel after completing 55 kms distance.

 

 

In second phase ‘Tour de Chhattisgarh’ would be held in which the bicycle riders would travel the different travel destinations in Southern Chhattisgarh of Bastar region.

 

 

This bicycle ride of over 400 kms would be initiated from the Marine Drive on Republic Day, January 26.
