Rahul Sahai, Chairperson, PHDCCI Jammu Chapter spoke to the Secretary Tourism of J&K, Dr. Syed Abid
Rasheed Shah.
Sahai commended Dr. Syed for effectively displaying Jammu & Kashmir’s bountiful tourist spots in front of the world and also the G20 representatives and even first time upholding Jammu’s tourist destinations at the same time.
Rahul Sahai gave numerous proposals, references and matters connected to the tourism segment in Jammu. He proposed displaying Jammu’s tourist spots in Katra town.
Mr. Sahai said that there needs to be a very lively tourism organization in Katra which would manage and
showcase the destinations of Jammu to all visiting religious travelers. They need to acquire facts from
yatra slip counter of temple board and WhatsApp videos to incoming tourists, so that by the time they
come back after darshan, they feel interested to tour other places.
He said that there is a vital necessity to have a scrutiny and control on the air prices. The tourism department need to back the start-ups. Site should be given for events and festivals held by the tourism division at Patnitop along with other places for start-ups. Liquor authorization needs to be there for that site, and local NOCs and funding support should be obtainable for start-ups.
