“Charming Beijing” promotion held in Tel Aviv

“Charming Beijing” promotional event was held in the Dizengoff Center, a big shopping mall located in Israeli city of Tel Aviv on Monday. Many local Israelis were attracted by the promotion event.

The event was organsied by the Israeli, Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau aimed to help more Israeli people learn the culture and tourism features of Beijing and attract them to visit the Chinese capital.

Ju Qiang, deputy director of the bureau’s Festival and Events Organizing Department said that  Beijing is rich in traditional culture and modern civilization.

The flights between  Bejing and Tel Aviv has increased  and the relations between the two cities are becoming closer which will further add on to a broader and deeper cooperation mainly in culture and tourism expected to be realised in future.

In 2006 the sister city relationship was established and people-to-people exchanges and cooperation have been increasing between the two cities.

Tao Chen, the director of the China Cultural Center in Tel Aviv said that Charming Beijing” promotion event was another example of flourishing relations between Beijing and Tel Aviv, and served as a valuable showcase for Beijing.

Tao went on saying that Beijing has been the political center of the country, and the city is renowned for its historical palaces, temples, parks, tombs, city walls and gates.
