The road connecting Rameswaram and Dhanushkodi, which was rebuilt around 2 years ago, will be branded a ‘Calm to Storm destination and spruced up to kick start the project that will also involve setting up an amphitheatre near Triveni Sangam at Kanyakumari.
State tourism department director V Amudhavalli said in Chennai that a host of activities have been planned including introducing a range of boats at Muttukadu and Mudaliarkuppam on ECR. Tamil Nadu has a coastline ranging more than 1000 kms from Pulicat in the north to Kanyakumari in the south and is dotted with a lot of beautiful beaches with picturesque and heritage structures, and hence, has the potential to emerge as hotspot for adventure tourism if there is proper infrastructure.
