China plans of delivering 15 cruise ships a year by 2030

shanghaiAccording to Raoul Jack, principal consultant at PFJ Maritime Chinese yards will be delivering as many as 15 ships per year by 2030 if it goes as per plan.

 

 

Raoul Jack an adviser to Chinese yards entering the cruise market is also the moderator of the ‘Made in, and for, China ‘s session at Seatrade Cruise Asia Pacific 2018.

 

Nan Daqing, deputy general manager of CSSC, one of China’s leading shipbuilding groups said that with the growing Chinese middle-class population the consumer demand has increased. People want more diversified and high-end products for vacation. As per him cruise is the sunrise industry bringing huge social and economic  benefits to China.

 

 

He further mentioned that it was not enough to secure ship call and homeport operations. While building cruise ship is an inevitable trend  that China is already doing.
