China government is gearing to strengthening epidemic prevention as winter tourism is significantly boosting and is expected to rise with Christmas and New Year. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism China has requested to improve COVID-19 prevention measures in order to control virus spread during winter months.
COVID-19 infections that are now entering to the mainland of Chins are increasing the health risk of local people and they are under threat of rise in virus transmission, as per the records of the ministry noted in a recent circular. And hence they have alerted on local-level culture and tourism authorities to guide tourist attractions to improve emergency response plans.
Tourist attractions should also guide visitors to wear masks and maintain social distancing while hotels should carry out regular disinfection, according to the circular.
Tour groups should avoid extended outdoor activities in severe weather, and local-level culture and tourism authorities should strengthen safety inspections, said the circular.
