Red tourism, attributing the tour of the sites that’s related to the revolutionary history of the nation, is at present, popular among the Generation Z. These people are born in the late 1990s or somewhere early in the 21st century.

Locate in the Jiaxing, East China’s Zhejiang province, the Nanhu Revolutionary Memorial, is a first-class museum. It manages the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

Popular among the young people is one of the memorial’s highlights – the Red Boat team. It consists of many experienced docents as well as guides who work at a museum.

A researcher with the name Yuan Jing, at the memorial, explained that the Red Boat team was developed to approach the young minds by recounting revolutionary stories in a manner that will be easily understandable to them.

Yuan said that they come to the place where young people assemble. Till now, the team has brought its ornately designed courses about the history of CPC to many colleges and universities.

Zhang Mengnan, a graduate student of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, said that the Red Boat team performed a sitcom at their university. That was a very novel form, he added. Bringing the revolutionary past to places exterior to the memorial is a plan that many such places have adopted.
