An aircraft of Swift Air that was travelling to Cleveland from Jamaica was forced to make an emergency landing on Friday in Miami.
Swift Air Flight 933 was scheduled to land at Hopkins International Airport around 5.30 p.m., but then was diverted to Miami. Marc Henderson, a spokesperson with Miami International Airport said that it is believed that there had been a fire inside the cargo section, but then it later turned out that there was no fire.
The plane was carrying 155 people on board the flight.
No injuries were reported on account of the emergency landing. The passengers said that everything appeared to be absolutely fine till they were nearly half an hour into the flight and things started getting very scary.
One of the passengers said that the travellers were quite calm.
They were observed to be cheering and offering high-fives to the pilot and the crew members when they landed safely.
