According to a release by Club Med, a ski resort opens in Snowbasin, Utah. It is planned to open in December 2024, and it’ll be the brand’s first new resort in the U.S. in more than 20 years.

Henry Giscard D’Estaing (president and CEO of Club Med Quebec said that they are delighted to bring Snowbasin as their very first lodging and introduce the spectacular region to travelers from all over the world. Utah is one of the most popular ski destinations in the world and hosted the 2002 winter Olympics.

The resort locates 35 miles from Salt Lake City, less than an hour from the Salt Lake City airport. This five-star resort has ski-in/ski-out access to surrounding slopes and 320 rooms. The suites combine American and French styles as well as integrate elements from Utah in its architectural design.

Accommodations include two-bedroom deluxe rooms, family suites, and private penthouse suites. There will be children’s clubs for kids from 4 months to 17 years old and all-day dining will be available at the resort’s restaurants and lounges. Visitors can also sign up for group ski and snowboard lessons and enjoy a heated swimming pool during the ski season.
