The coastal resort is constructed in the Kiawah River community is scheduled to begin in the month of January. Plans call for 72 cottage-style guestrooms and suites plus 19 villas. Common areas will include the main lodge with a wraparound porch, a library lounge, a 10,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor event hall, and a riverfront swim and fitness facility.
Kiawah River, a master-planned community with multiple working farms including the Goatery goat dairy, an heirloom beef cattle ranch, and a community-supported agriculture program that delivers fresh local food to residents and resort restaurants.
The 2,000-acre community has 20 miles of riverfront, nature trails, and marshlands located on Johns Island. Activities in and around the estuary include fly fishing, crabbing, boat excursions, paddleboarding, hiking, and cycling.
