Columbus Convention Centre is although ready for the second wave of infection spread in winter however feels staffing is an issue. The Centre management on the other hand is accumulating equipment to transform it into a care hospital. Jeff Klingler, the CEO and President of the Central Ohio Hospital Council, however, mentioned that the Centre is facing a steep shortage in several items such as cots, electrical boxes, sink etc.

Klingler also mentioned that this could be transformed into a makeshift hospital and will be functional in some time from now.Since hospitals in Ohio are facing space crunch, the convention centre has thought of upgrading itself to improve and offer help to offer care during the pandemic.

Hospitals are offering care support however, there is growing need of beds during the surge in infection spread.
