Emirates continues to enhance its global flight network, introducing new services and premium travel options for passengers. Starting from 2026, the airline will deploy its newly retrofitted Boeing 777 and the advanced A350 aircraft on various high-demand routes to key destinations, including Cape Town, Copenhagen, Phuket, Mexico City, and Rome. With these upgrades, Emirates aims to elevate the travel experience for passengers while providing greater connectivity across its network.

The upgraded fleet, including the Emirates A350 and retrofitted Boeing 777, will be rolled out to key destinations across Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia. These new aircraft will feature Emirates’ renowned Premium Economy product, as well as enhanced Business and Economy Class cabins, making these flights ideal for both leisure and business travelers. The new deployment will significantly impact travelers flying to and from cities like Cape Town, Copenhagen, Phuket, Mexico City, and Rome, offering greater flexibility and an improved in-flight experience.

What’s New?

In a major update, Emirates will deploy its newly retrofitted Boeing 777 and the next-generation A350 on more than 84 routes by July 2026. Notably, these upgrades include new daily services and expanded capacity to cities like Copenhagen and Phuket. A third daily flight to Cape Town will be operated by the cutting-edge A350 aircraft starting 1 July 2026, marking the introduction of Emirates’ latest aircraft type to this route.

Passengers flying between Dubai and Cape Town will now have the option to choose from Emirates’ iconic A380, the fully retrofitted Boeing 777, and the A350. This mix of aircraft types provides unparalleled flexibility, allowing travelers to enjoy the full suite of Emirates products and services on every flight.

When Does This Expansion Begin?

The roll-out of the A350 and retrofitted Boeing 777 will occur progressively throughout the first half of 2026. The most notable changes include:

• Cape Town: Starting from 1 July 2026, a third daily flight will operate between Dubai and Cape Town, using the A350 aircraft.
• Copenhagen: A second daily flight will commence on 1 June 2026, and the service will be operated with an Emirates A350.
• Phuket: Starting 1 July 2026, a third daily service will be introduced on the Dubai-Phuket route.
• Mexico City and Rome: From 1 February and 29 March, respectively, retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft will be deployed on these popular routes.

In addition, the A350 will also be introduced on services to Addis Ababa and Karachi in March, as part of the airline’s strategy to enhance Premium Economy services across multiple regions.

Emirates will deploy its A350 aircraft on various routes to and from key destinations across the globe, including Cape Town (South Africa), Copenhagen (Denmark), Phuket (Thailand), Mexico City (Mexico), and Rome (Italy). Additional services are being introduced to cater to the growing demand for international travel, especially ahead of peak winter seasons. The new services will also offer expanded connections to various other regions, including Europe, Asia, and Africa, making it easier for passengers to connect to Emirates’ global network.

For example, travelers flying on the new Dubai-Copenhagen route can seamlessly connect to popular destinations in East Asia like Bangkok, Bali, and Manila, along with key African cities such as Nairobi and Entebbe. Similarly, the expanded Dubai-Phuket service will provide enhanced connectivity from Europe and the Middle East.

• Dubai-Phuket (EK390/391): A third daily flight starting 1 July 2026, with convenient connection options for travelers from Europe and the Middle East.
• Dubai-Cape Town (EK778/779): Third daily flight starting 1 July 2026, offering optimized connections to London, Brussels, and Asian markets.
• Dubai-Mexico City (EK187/188): New retrofitted Boeing 777 service starting 1 February 2026.
• Dubai-Rome (EK099/100): New A350 service starting 29 March 2026.
