Copetition is the new formula, not competition, says Hon. Edmund Bartlett

Of late, to its new center in Saudi Arabia, the UNWTO has invited the ministers of tourism. The Hon. Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Tourism for Jamaica offered a unique approach that would probably create a trend for the world.

Every country is on its own. Vaccine diplomacy and vaccine politics, and nationalism are grabbing the front seat. However, one minister offers a way out.

Yesterday, Dr. Taleb Rifai, former Secretary-General of the UNWTO, in a World Tourism Network Meeting said that every country is on its own. It’s a sad reality of every country fighting for its own. WTN Hero and Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett from Jamaica have understood this reality and last week showed a simple solution in Saudi Arabia at UNWTO meetings.

The Hon. Minister Edmund Bartlett clarified to a reporter while attending the UNWTO event, that flying and traveling will be feasible once again.

Bartlett said that after flying here from Jamaica for 17 hours, I am qualified to make a statement to everybody that flying is OK, that you can travel again, it’s safe to travel.
