A husband and wife with an excitement in terms of transformation and restoration are relishing an important tourism accolade.

Merryl and Phil Greenbury received a gold award at the Australian Tourism Awards for their hosted accommodation venture. It’s the historic Bli Bli House. Phil said that this award was a great opportunity to stay in Sydney, with well-known tourism operators who came from all over Australia.

He added that to grab the gold award was truly special for them

Bli Bli House is being endorsed as Victorian style luxury and sophisticated hotel located in the heart of the Sunshine Coast.

This five-star hotel overlooks the river. It is one of the favorite destinations for all romantic getaways.
Phil said that it is an exclusive experience that they present to the guests.

It has old-world charm, as the house is almost 160 years old.

With all modern amenities, this hotel has been done up along with fireplaces, four-poster beds, chandeliers, spa baths, and private verandas for every room.

In 2001, the couple bought the house. Then it was a historic tea house based at Nostalgia Town. It was a theme park which remained functional from 1990 to 2003 at Pacific Paradise. It ran as a B&B.

Then, the Greenburys moved at Petrie Creek Road at Diddillibah, the present location. They have spent many years to restore the house.
