Crackdown on Cathay Pacific cabin crew

Published on : Thursday, April 25, 2019

A random inspection was launched by Cathay Pacific after  a cabin crew was found  stealing things from aircraft like the cutlery, champagne, bread etc.

The items that included under the petty thefts were mini pots of Haagen-Dazs ice cream, branded pens and wet wipes and were taken from the flights.

The airline spokesperson mentioned that considering the increasing number of reported losses of company property, they informed their cabin crew that random inspections will be carried out.

The case is being dealt with in a fair and reasonable manner in accordance with standard internal procedure.

After the random checks at Hong Kong International Airport over the weekend, Six Cathay Pacific employees from across the business face possible disciplinary action.

The stolen supplies have cost the carrier  and Cathay Pacific had earlier warned the staff against petty thefts a  few months ago.
