Croatian National Tourist Board announced that the European Travel Commission (ETC) has approved funds to Croatian and Slovenian tourism authorities for joint promotion in China.
“Experience Croatia, Feel Slovenia” is the campaign to expand the visibility and reputation of the two counties in the Chinese market. It will further project itself as a European tourist destination.
More than 200,000 euros (234,500 U.S. dollars) is the campaign’s value out of which half will be co-financed by ETC.
From October 2018 to March 2019 the campaign will be held. There will be two joint workshops in Beijing and Shanghai, online training courses for Chinese tour operators and travel agencies along with advertising in major Chinese media.
Croatian National Tourist Board director Kristijan Stanicic stated that through these investments and planned activities and with support from the European Travel Commission will lead to better Croatian results in the growing Chinese market.
The Croatian National Tourist Board recently opened a new office in Shanghai and 2018 is the EU- China Tourism Year, so Croatia will continue to promote itself in China.
There was a 36 % growth in Chinese tourists visiting Croatia as compared to 2017.
