CSMIA awarded as best commercial airport of the year by ASSOCHAM

In recognition of Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport’s (CSMIA) resilient efforts put forth by all employees and stakeholders towards diligent servicing of the passengers, the airport has been awarded the ‘Best Commercial Airport of the Year’ by the Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) in its 13th International ASSOCHAM National Council Conference & Awards for Civil Aviation & Cargo. The prestigious award was presented by Honorable Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Mr. Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, on Monday, 28th February, 2022 at Le Meridien, New Delhi.

The ASSOCHAM ‘Best Commercial Airport of the Year’ award is another addition to various prestigious laurels received by CSMIA in the past. This recognition is a testament to the tireless efforts put forth by the airport in its endeavour to provide world class experiences and comfort to all its passengers. The award does not only honour the hard work put forth by the airport, but also recognizes best-in-class services and innovations that are implemented timely. Recently, CSMIA extended full support in bringing young Indian students back home from Ukraine. Thermal check, dedicated counters for immigrations and quick clearance, separate baggage reclaim area, quick check-in baggage process, were made available for hassle free transit. The young passengers were also offered F&B along with accommodating a few of them at CSMIA’s transit hotel – Niranta, and the Aviserv Lounge. CSMIA also aided passengers in their onward domestic security clearance and boarding process for a hassle-free transit. Even in the eye of the storm, CSMIA does not compromise in the quality of their services and strives to achieve maximum passenger satisfaction.

The 13th International ASSOCHAM National Council Conference & Awards for Civil Aviation & Cargo also witnessed the presence of prominent dignitaries like Mr. Salil Gupte, President, Boeing India, Mr. Ajay Singh, Vice President, SpiceJet, Mr. Vinay Dubey, Founder and MD, Akasa Air, and many other established names from the industry. The Airport recently was awarded the ‘Voice of Customer Service’ by Airports Council International (ACI) for demonstrating relentless efforts in gathering passenger feedback on customer needs in 2021 and providing the best-in-class travel experience. With this new accolade, CSMIA strives to provide best-in-class services, while adding new avenues of lifestyle and retail experiences, all whilst being a Gateway to Goodness to its passengers.
