In a story on Thursday that evaluates on the way the industry goes at times of increased hostility by the US Government, it has been declared that Cuba is a safe country for doing tourism, says national daily Granma.

The newspaper emphasizes that Cuba is identified world over as a safe tourist destination, and stresses out its hospitality to the visitors.

As per the story, these characteristics make it deserving of the Excellence prize, awarded during the 38th International Tourism Fair, in Madrid, Spain.

Since 2017, the pressures which got worse have the reason to destroy the sector’s development.

Mostly, the restrictions and other aggressive measures impact travels, services, operations and logistics. As per estimates, about 35% of the yearly visitors to Cuba could have been US citizens, were it not for the blockade.

However, the article in the newspaper emphasizes that the pressure does not dishearten the country, as it claims on perfecting and developing its touristic offers, confirming the interest and respect towards it from business representatives all over the world.
