Even as Cuba gears up to host the May 37th International Tourism Fair, FITCuba 2017, the marketing director of the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur), María del Carmen Orellana, expressed satisfaction at the holding of this FIT Cuba 2017.
During a meeting with the media at Havana’s International Press Center (CPI, in Spanish), she said the event, to be held from May 3 through 6 will take place in Holguín, where several facilities are about to be inaugurated to celebrate the country’s main touristic fair.
The Fair is dedicated to Germany as the country guest of honour and to the circuits as a product. Hence, the election of that destination that combines sun and beach, culture, nature and other varied interests.
Germany is one of the most important markets for Cuba with a growth of 38 percent with 242,000 visitors in 2016.
