In 2021, 175 thousand Russian tourists will visit Cuba, according to the Minister of Tourism of Cuba Juan Carlos García Grande.
He said that now Russia is the No. 2 source market after Canada (there are more than 40 flights weekly from this country to Cuba).
However, Russia is close to becoming the No. 1 for Cuba by 2024.
According to Mr. Minister, in 2022 the flow of tourists from Russia will continue to grow, and potentially this country is ready to receive more than 1 million Russians a year.
He also said that as soon as Varadero airport was opened for flights, the majority of tourists arriving there were Russians.
Juan Carlos García Grande said that they are ready to receive Russian tourists and are glad that your tour operators are significantly increasing air transportation, including for the period of New Year’s holidays.
Thus, the tour operator Pegas Touristik increases transportation for the New Year due to the great demand for tours to Cuba.
In addition to the flights from Moscow to Cayo Coco (2 times a week) and to Varadero (also 2 times a week), another a 10-day chain of flights to Varadero will be added from 30.12.21.
