In Mumbai’s Dahisar area, an extensive nature park has been planned. It would feature a ‘mangrove museum’ and along with a hanging glass-made bridge. It’s one step closer to achieve the finishing point. The park is being built in the middle of 200 acres of mangroves.

By June-end, it is being hoped to be awarded construction bids as well. Once finished, the park will house a 5,100 square metre nature interpretation centre. This center will be nestled on the Gorai Creek banks
and one can reach through Link Road or can be accessed by boat from the Gorai Jetty. The success of this project depends a lot on the Dahisar River Rejuvenation Project of Mumbai.

For all nature lovers, this park will be an immersive experience in eco-tourism in the green lungs of Dahisar.

The glass-made bridge will be offering visitors a complete view of the surrounding wetlands.

Now, it has been over four years as 80 hectares of natural lands were conserved for this reason in the Development Plan of Mumbai.

In DCPR for lands, natural area is a type of reservation that are very sensitive environmentally, and where development is controlled.

The centerpiece of this project is a 5,100 square metre, high-tech nature interpretation centre. It is located on the banks of the Gorai Creek.

It is a tactically positioned construction within the thick mangrove forest and would not be able to be seen unless one reaches the entry point of the NIC.
