Daryn Hudson has been appointed as the General Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort. Hudson is a highly-skilled hospitality professional and comes with a wealth of experience. The appointment arrives ahead of a planned opening of the property in October. Hudson joined Marriott International for the first time in 2005 as Director of Food and Beverage at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa.
Having moved to south-east Asia he took up senior roles at Marriott hotels in Manila and went to become one of the most highly-regarded executives of the company. He received his first General Manager role in 2013 at Marriott Executive Apartments Sathorn Vista, Bangkok. Prior to his latest appointment he was the General Manager of the Stones Hotel – Legian Bali, Autograph Collection, where he succeeded in improving overall performance, and re-positioning the hotel in the Bali market.
Hudson has also successfully completed a series of Marriott leadership programs during his stellar career including executive leadership training in Asia Pacific and the United States. He said in a recent statement that he is delighted to undertake the new opportunity. He shared that Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort has a large room count and impressive facilities and will bring something new to the island’s hospitality landscape, providing options for leisure travellers and large-scale corporate events. He mentioned that he is looking forward to working with the entire team as they prepare to welcome the first guests later this year.
